SYNOPSIS
SINOPSE
Maria, a 48-year-old woman, is trapped between two worlds—one guided by asceticism, the other fuelled by the need to reconnect and be with her two sons. Through carefully composed shots and minimalistic sound, we glimpse into her everyday life, thoughts, and emotions.

Ana Vijdea was born in Romania. She studied Cinematography and Media at Babes-Bolyai University (RO), and Film Directing at Syracuse University (USA), on a Fulbright scholarship. In 2017 she was named one of the “25 New Faces of Independent Cinema” by Filmmaker Magazine. Ana is currently pursuing a master’s degree in documentary filmmaking through DocNomads. Her first semester film, “May the Earth Become the Sky”, premiered at Doclisboa, where it won the Best Short Film award.
