The movie tells the story of a trip by a student, a railway worker and a peasant to the Julian Alps, the people they meet on their way, and their ascent to Triglav.

Janko Ravnik was born on 7 March 1891 in Bohinjska Bistrica, Slovenia. He was a Slovenian pianist, teacher, film director and composer. In 1928 and 1929, he filmed “In the Kingdom of the Goldhorn” (Slovene: “V kraljestvu Zlatoroga”), the first Slovene feature film. Even though the film is a silent film, the heart resounds in a patriotic song: 'Slovene lands, you are sacred!'. Janko also directed short films and his photographic works were published both nationally and internationally. As a director and cinematographer, he is most known for the feature film “In the Realms of Goldhorn” (1931) and the short film “Odkritje Napoleonovega spomenika v Ljubljani” (1929). He died on 2 September 1981 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
