Experimental animation exploring the feelings around a lost connection. Just like magic tricks and illusions, some things cannot be comprehended in a logical way. Sometimes we are mere spectators enchanted by the unfolding events.

Zsófia Szénásy is an animation director and illustrator based in Budapest and Berlin. “Farewell” is her student film made during an exchange program at Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in 2022. “Farewel”l explores the feelings around the end of a relationship through the imagery of magic tricks.
