The 2023 edition of East, Match, Go! will be held in Porto September 30 – October 01
VENUE: BATALHA CENTRO DE CINEMA — Praça da Batalha 47, 4000-101 Porto
East Match, Go! includes four main events:
V4 Connect — Pitching Session
Featuring V4 Connect with sessions of film pitching where filmmakers from Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia will have the opportunity to present their projects to a panel of industry experts, potential co-producers, and financiers. This platform enables filmmakers to showcase their work, receive constructive feedback, and gain exposure to potential funding and distribution opportunities in Portugal, predominantly Porto and the Northern region.

Industry Matchmaking Session
Central to this film co-production and networking platform are the matchmaking meetings, which have been curated to facilitate targeted interactions between film professionals from Portugal and Central & Eastern Europe. These one-on-one meetings offer a focused environment where participants can discuss project ideas, explore potential collaborations, and forge meaningful partnerships.
Let’s Talk! — Panels & inspirational talks
Complementing the matchmaking meetings and film pitching sessions, a series of panel discussions will delve into key industry topics such as broadcast strategies, short film production, and the social-political impact of cinema. Renowned industry professionals will share their expertise, insights, and best practices, offering participants a deeper understanding of the evolving film landscape and the latest industry trends across Eastern Europe and Portugal.

This panel discussion will explore the vibrant world of short film production in Portugal, focusing on the synergy between three key players: film schools, funding institutions, and distribution companies. The conversation will delve into how three prominent Portuguese institutions approach the task of expanding their reach globally and forging meaningful partnerships on the international stage.
